College applicants who have submitted their applications will be required to have a phone interview.
If you are interested in applying, simply click 'Apply' below. You will create your UCB Portal account when you apply, so please use your own email address and mobile number.
Please do not make multiple applications. If you change your mind about the course you have applied for, please contact our Admissions team who can update your application.
If you are unsure which course to choose, we recommend attending one of our open days.
Phone interview schedule
The teaching team for your chosen course will call you between these times:
4pm – 6pm (BTEC Health and Social Care courses)
5pm – 7pm (All other courses)
Please ensure you have your phone switched on, so you don’t miss their call. The call may show as a blocked or unknown number. You won’t be able to call them back, so please make sure you pick up. We will use the number you put on your application. If you have changed your number, you’ll need to let us know.
If you do not receive a call, please contact feadmissions@ucb.ac.uk, and we will follow up with the course team.
What happens after my call?
If your interview is successful
If you are successful in your interview, the teaching team will issue you with a Conditional offer and you will receive a congratulations email confirming that you have been successful.
Our admissions team will follow up with your official offer letter outlining the conditions you are required to meet to join the course. This will be sent via email. You will also receive a text message to confirm this has been sent to you and asking you to reply to ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ your place.
You will need to respond to this offer to ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ your place.
You will be invited to a Welcome Evening to meet the tutors and find out more about your chosen course. We will contact you once dates are confirmed. It is important that you attend this session.
If your interview is unsuccessful
The next day you will receive confirmation from us about your interview assessment. Our admissions team will look at the course portfolio that we have on offer to see if there is a different course that would be more suitable. We will also offer information, advice and guidance if we do not have a course that is right for you.
There are occasions where applicants may be overqualified for a college course and in this instance, we may look to offer a higher education course as an alternative.
