Early Payment Discount

Get £500 off your tuition fees if you pay before the deadline

University College Birmingham offers a special Early Payment Discount (EPD) for all new international students who pay their full tuition fees early (subject to eligibility criteria below).

International students entering the first year of a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University will receive a £500 discount on the cost of their tuition fees if these are paid in full and received into UCB account prior to our EPD deadline. The fee discount will then be applied at your enrolment.

The payment deadline will depend upon when your course is due to commence. For students starting in September 2024, the deadline is 30 August. For students starting in February 2025, the deadline is 31 January.

Eligibility criteria

You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at University College Birmingham starting in the current or upcoming academic year – part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
You must have overseas international student status and be paying overseas international rate tuition fees.
You must have paid 100% of your tuition fees which must be received into UCB account before the EPD deadline as specified above. UCB must receive the payments by the deadlines for you to be awarded the scholarship or discount. The only exception is where you can provide evidence that you made the payment at least two weeks before the deadline, and it is taking longer to arrive into the university’s bank account due to external factors out of your control.
This scholarship is available to students during the first year of study only.

How to apply

No application is required. This scholarship will be awarded automatically to any eligible student who pays their full tuition fee amount before the agreed deadline.
