CEO and Founder, Miss Macaroon
Rosie Ginday MBE is founder and CEO of Miss Macaroon, a community interest company that reinvests 100% of its profits in supporting young people who need a helping hand to gain skills that can change their lives. Miss Macaroon is the only patisserie in the world that can Pantone colour match macaroons to brand colours, supplying Instagram, Google and Facebook.
Miss Macaroon works with organisations such as the Department For Work And Pensions, job centres, prison probation programmes, care leavers’ services and women’s refuges to recruit trainees. Her work saw Ginday invited to the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and hosted HRH the Countess of Wessex at Miss Macaroon to meet the MacsMAD trainees and graduates. Rosie was awarded an MBE in 2019 for her services to the community, and her work in providing support for young people facing long-term unemployment.
Rosie is also a Board member at Big Society Capital, and a Colmore BID Board Member. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has supported the Government’s Kickstart Scheme. Miss Macaroon is a Gateway Organisation for the programme, and has provided employment opportunities to over sixty young people, aged 18-24 years old.
Rosie is passionate about leadership diversity and inclusion, gaining a place on the WMCA’s Leadership commission and Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Birmingham’s WE LEAD Centre. She has won awards including the EY Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2016, English Woman of the Year 2018, the Natwest Everywoman Award 2021 and finalist in the GQ Magazine Food and Drink awards 2022.
