Employment and Skills Coordinator, BAM Construction

Phil has worked in the construction industry for 38 years since leaving school to take up his first job as an apprentice carpenter and Joiner. Phil progressed into site management and planning, being promoted to Senior Planner, a role he undertook for two regional contractors. Phil set up his own training company and delivered training for over twenty SME’s and regional contractors, before joining BAM in 2006 as Learning Resource Coordinator on the Bromsgrove Schools PFI project.  

Phil loves football and ran a successful Sunday League football team, winning two league cups and securing promotion.  

Phil’s current role is Social Sustainability Specialist and last week was recognised by Procure Partnerships Framework as ‘National Social Value Trailblazer’ for 2023.
