High hopes for the future
Sagar had already gained a lot of technical experience when he decided to explore the management side of the industry, but having never previously travelled outside of India, choosing the right university for his master’s degree became even more important.
“I did so much research and am really glad I chose University College Birmingham. You don’t just feel like a number; the University focuses on each and every student,” he said.
“As an international student I wasn’t familiar with every aspect of the course – especially when it came to assessments – as the education system in India is different, but lecturers were great, and HIRED supported me through the British Airways Graduate Scheme application, which I’m really grateful for.”
With graduation over, Sagar has set his sights high and aims to use the tools gathered at University College Birmingham to make a significant contribution to his field.
“Birmingham will always be special for me. Looking ahead, I want to apply the knowledge I’ve gained to solving some of the world’s biggest problems: how can we achieve sustainability in the aviation industry? I’m excited to get started in my career!”
