Jaksa's Story

When Jaksa recalls her childhood, it evokes memories of an immersion in all things technological that would stay with her for life.

"From an early age, I always remember my father telling me about technology, and we would spend time together dismantling and reassembling computers.”

Her journey into digital discovery began with a basic computer literacy course; an experience that impressed upon her the importance of technology in bringing about global change. "I was captivated by technological solutions that enhance our world," she reflects.

From here, Jaksa pursued higher education, at the same time seeking to improve her practical skills. As such, she successfully navigated degree studies whilst undertaking invaluable work experience. This hands-on approach enriched her knowledge and led her to discover a love of teaching. "It was amazing to teach and share my enjoyment for learning and computing with others."

Eager to learn more, Jaksa has taken the next step and is studying for a master's qualification. "Completing my master's is the ideal stepping stone for advancing my career as a computer lecturer," she enthuses. "My dream is to establish a gateway for research, learning, and development in computer science."
