Elaine Limond
Vice Dean of Business School
After completing a BSc in Sport, Elaine gained valuable experience in the fitness and sports industries across the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Her commitment to education led her to pursue a PGCE, and she subsequently joined the academic team at University College Birmingham as a lecturer, specialising in the BTEC Sport programmes, eventually progressing to become Acting Dean of Sport. All the while, she continued to coach Rugby – including for the England U20 Women’s team – and earned her Level 4 Coaching qualifications alongside an MSc.
Eager to enhance her expertise, Elaine completed an Executive MBA before making an exciting transition to the business sector.
“Completing my own Executive MBA qualification in 2021 was pivotal in my development as a senior leader, building my strategic leadership credentials and deepening my understanding across a wide range of corporate fields. I would not have had the same career opportunities without having the knowledge and skills gained by studying an MBA”
Now, as the Vice-Dean of the Business School, Elaine oversees various aspects of the University’s academic and professional endeavours and has developed the unique Higher Apprenticeship Coaching Professional course.
