Profile
After qualifying in 2003, the majority of my clinical work has been in large, acute hospitals in the North and West Midlands, most recently, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
I have specialised in inpatient physiotherapy, and have a passion for respiratory care.
While providing clinical education to physiotherapy students from a range of universities, I realised my passion, which led me to my current post at University College Birmingham.
Teaching
- Human Anatomy and Physiology
- Cardiovascular and Respiratory Studies
- Practice Based Learning
Research interests and scholarly activity
I am set to undertake a PGCE Cert in Higher Education.
External engagements
I regularly work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham at weekends on the respiratory service. This ensures my knowledge and skills stay up to date with current practice. This, in turn, is passed onto our students, ensuring that when they graduate, they are fully equipped to gain employment as a qualified physiotherapist.
