I have been working in the hospitality industry since the age of 16., and studied International Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University.
After university I worked as a Restaurant Manager for Conran in Birmingham, before moving to Marriott Hotels in the same role. After a ski season in France I moved to Oxford as Food and Beverage Manager for Malmaison. The mountains called again so I moved to France for 3 winters, first as a Hotel Manager and then as an Area Manager for Esprit, Ski Total and Inghams.
Upon moving back to the UK in 2012 I undertook my teaching qualification at Birmingham City University, completing a placement at a college in Birmingham. I joined UCB in January 2014 as a Food Service Lecturer and have since worked across College of Food and The Business School both at FE and HE level.
Teaching
I lecture in HE across Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate course, on subjects such as Human Resources, Managing Event Hospitality and Restaurant Practical Skills.
