I am a highly motivated and experienced visiting lecturer with a passion for fostering successful student learning outcomes. I have a proven ability to develop and deliver engaging courses aligned with industry standards across various computing programmes, and demonstrate a strong blend of theoretical knowledge and practical IT experience, honed through hands-on industry work as an IT Consultant.
With a strong background in education and technology, I have held a variety of roles in both academic and corporate settings. I have experience of being a Masters Student and a Course Representative at University College Birmingham, where I have also worked as a Student Ambassador and an Admissions, Clearing & Enrolment Advisor. Additionally, I have served as an IT Consultant and held various lecturing positions at institutions in Sri Lanka and Dubai. My previous roles have allowed me to contribute to student development, curriculum delivery, and administrative tasks.

Research interests are in Computing for Health. Current focus on Parkinson's disease progress monitoring using advanced technologies. Previous work explored natural language processing and computer vision for Sinhala-to-sign language translation.
