"My hands-on experiences enable me to share practical examples with my UCB students, which improves their skills and knowledge of how to support people in health and care settings."

I’m a Lecturer in Health and Social Care with expertise in psychology, mentoring, and mental health and wellbeing. I’m constantly inspired by conducting new research in the Health and Social Care sector, and I’m currently working towards my MSc in Psychology of Mental Health.
My industry experiences include two years mentoring looked-after children, one year in a care home, and four years in domiciliary care. I’m also a Governor of Bentley West Children’s Centre.
My hands-on experiences enable me to share practical examples with my UCB students, which improves their skills and knowledge of how to support people in health and care settings.
Students often say they feel included in my classes, as I always aim to create a supportive space for learning.
My advice to students is simple: always remember your "why". Purpose is everything in our industry.
