Profile

I am a registered social worker with over 25 years experience in offender settings. My professional practice involved working in highly specialist areas with violent and sex offenders, those with mental disorder, young offenders, lifers, Courts etc.

My later roles were those with responsibility for practice, leadership and management development in a large Probation Trust developing work-based teaching and learning for Social Work and Probation Officer Qualifications, developing Probation Service officer qualifications and Leadership and management development programmes.

I have provided consultancy to third sector organisations on developing sustainable funding, safeguarding, risk assessment and management, people, trustee and organisation development strategies, competency frameworks and apprenticeships and I have held Board Director positions with the Birmingham Based Rape and Sexual Violence Project and the British Institute for Learning and Development.
