Do you enjoy writing? Love taking photos or sharing snaps on Instagram? Looking for an opportunity to boost your CV and showcase your digital skills to future employers? Then we want to hear from you!

University College Birmingham is currently seeking to recruit new talent for UCBloggers, our popular student blogging platform. We're on the hunt for aspiring writers who enjoy social media and know how to create great online content, including photos and videos.

If this sounds like you, find out more about the role and how you can apply below:

What is the role?

Our UCBloggers are responsible for producing weekly blogs all about their experiences at University College Birmingham, providing an insight into what it's like to be a student here.

You could write about a wide range of topics – whether it's discussing the highlights and challenges of your course and work experience, offering your top student life hacks and tips, or just sharing recommendations of your favourite activities and places to visit around Birmingham and beyond.

We're looking for fun, creative and original posts. They don't need to be long – just something that can grab our attention!

We are hoping to recruit five bloggers from a range of courses and backgrounds, including at least one blogger from our college community. Take a look at some of the content produced by our current writers on the UCBloggers site.

How long is the role for?

We're looking for writers who can spend a couple of hours per week putting together great blog content. You will need to be able to commit to this role for at least one year.

In return, we'll get your blog up and running and help you to promote your work.

Is this a paid opportunity?

Yes! We are offering top candidates £8.72 an hour with holiday pay.

How do I apply?

For more details and to register your interest in becoming a member of the UCBloggers team, please email Rachel Davies at r.davies@ucb.ac.uk no later than 10 August 2020.

Once you have registered your interest, you will be required to complete an application form as well as writing a blog on a topic proposed by the University.

We look forward to hearing from you!
