University College Birmingham has three schools, which are responsible for delivering courses to students at all levels of study.
The schools, made up of different departments, are spread across our seven campus buildings right in the centre of Birmingham, giving our students easy access to facilities, learning resources and the city itself. Across our schools, our lecturers have vast experience, in education and out in industry, and lead the way in research.
Business School
Our four departments within our Business School are based across our McIntyre House and Summer Row campus buildings and are:
- Department of Business and Enterprise
- Department of Hospitality and Tourism
- Department of Creative Industries
- Birmingham College of Food
Our school's academic teams are made of experts in their field, many of whom have run their own businesses or held high positions in industry before going into higher education. We have chef lecturers who have worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, sustainable tourism consultants, prosthetics artists on blockbuster films and business executives for major companies including Disney and British Airways.

School of Engineering, Digital and Sustainable Construction
Our three departments within our school are based across Camden House, James Cond Centre for Sustainable Construction and The Link campus buildings and are:
Our school's academic teams are made up of vastly-experienced experts, including former engineers in aeronautic research and testing, consultants for the Institute of Technology and Royal Academy of Engineers, project leaders for heavy and large-scale sustainable structures across the globe and forensic cybersecurity experts.

School of Health, Life Sciences and Education
Our five departments within our school are based across The Link, Moss House and McIntyre House and are:
- Department of Education
- Department of Health and Nutrition
- Department of Sport
- Department of Psychology
- Department of Social Work
Our school's academic teams are made up of expert practitioners, including former senior clinicians for regional NHS trusts, sports therapists for top flight teams, dietitians.
